Privacy & data protection
Data protection and privacy are a priority for the Geneva Institute of Geopolitical Studies.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Since the European General Data Protection Regulation entered into force on 25 May 2018, the Institute has been committed to complying with it in transparent and secure ways.
We only process data that you choose to transmit to us and for which you explicitly consent to processing. We limit the collection and processing of personal data to the strict minimum necessary to fulfil the intended purpose. Some personal data is collected if you apply to enrol in our study programmes or register for an event we organise.
We control and limit access to personal data to a small number of people. As a policy, we do not share this information with other parties. Our site does not use plugins or cookies that automatically record information.
We strive to maintain a high level of security in the collection, processing and retention of data through organisational and technical measures, taking the necessary precautions given the nature of the data and the risks of its processing, in order to preserve its security and prevent it from being altered, damaged, destroyed or accessed by unauthorised third parties. Our website has security measures to protect against loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. While we make every effort to ensure the integrity and security of your information, we cannot fully guarantee that our measures will prevent third parties from unlawfully obtaining it; the Institute therefore assumes no responsibility for the security of this information.
